ClaimWrit ("Company," "ClaimWrit," or "We") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (the "Policy"). This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit our websites (and any related subdomains such as portal.claimwrit.com) (collectively, our "Site"), use our services to support law firms, attorneys, and legal staff in curating materials for matter chronologies, demand letters, and similar materials through the Site (together with the Site, the "Services"), and sets forth our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

ClaimWrit maintains strict policies to ensure the privacy of both users who use our Services ("End Users," "you," or "your") and visitors who may only browse the Site without using the Services ("Visitors"). This Policy also includes a description of certain rights that you may have over information that we collect from you.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is to not use the Services.

Information That ClaimWrit Collects

Personal Data: ClaimWrit may collect name, email, username, address, phone number, information you voluntarily supply (including information about your clients submitted to us for processing deliverables), and payment or bank account details (collected via ClaimWrit or third-party payment processors).

Non-Personal Data: We may collect non-personal data such as device details, GPS data, and IP address. If combined with Personal Data, we treat it as Personal Data.

How We Collect Information

We collect information when you apply, register, or create an account for Services; fill out forms (contact, registration, feedback); communicate through the Site or Services; submit case-related data for deliverables; or request support. We also collect information automatically via cookies, log files, and analytics.

Why We Collect and Use Your Information

We collect and process Personal Data for legitimate purposes including: verifying eligibility; operating, maintaining, and improving Services; contacting you; fulfilling contracts; with consent; protecting against fraud, abuse, or violations of law; and aggregating/anonymizing data for analytics. We may use anonymized information without restriction.

We may receive information about you from service providers (e.g., analytics, payments, hosting, AI tools) that assist in delivering or improving our Services.

Your Privacy Rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Nevada, and other states with privacy laws have statutory rights. ClaimWrit provides these rights to all U.S. users:

Automated Data Collection

Cookies: Used for authentication, personalization, analytics, and clickstream tracking. Opt-out at app.retention.com/optout.

Log Files: Collect IP addresses, access times, and location data to optimize Services and maintain security.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary to provide Services and meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Typical retention periods are based on the nature of the relationship.

Children's Privacy

Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently done so, we will delete it.

Do Not Track

We do not track users across third-party websites for targeted advertising and do not respond to DNT browser signals.

Who We Share Data With

We may share information with affiliates and subsidiaries; successors in interest; law enforcement when required; and service providers who support our operations. We anonymize information before providing it to AI/third-party providers where possible.

Third-Party Services

Links to third-party sites or AI technologies may be present. These services are governed by their own privacy policies. ClaimWrit is not responsible for third-party practices.

Data Security

ClaimWrit employs physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to protect information. Transmission of data over the internet is not 100% secure. In case of a breach, we will notify affected parties. We comply with applicable laws and employ HIPAA-aligned safeguards when handling sensitive health or attorney-client privileged information, although ClaimWrit is not a HIPAA-covered entity unless separately contracted.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last Revised" date. Material changes will also be communicated via email or notice on the Site.
